The Four Noble Truths
Sadness is the Echo of Effort
Like a quiet string, perturbed by
by a young clumsy finger
The inquiring mind wonders what happens next
The timid mind drowns itself in sorrow
The eloquent mind announces: “I can silence these chatters!”
The audience laughs at the puppets’ performance
Deeper into the night, only notes linger
Chatters float away into the weeping darkness…
And the wind whistles back:
“I hear songs that make the moon smile
and the stars dance!”
